Event
The session aim to explore how smart electrification, grid flexibility and innovative digital solutions can help public transport operators accelerate the transition to zero-emission bus fleets while controlling infrastructure, energy and operational costs.
The event will connect the strategic European perspective - how electricity grids need to evolve to support growing EV demand - with practical solutions already being developed and tested in cities. By combining insights from the Electricity Grids in Europe study with a real-world EIT Urban Mobility-supported project, the session will show how operators can move beyond simply “switching to electric” towards a more integrated approach to fleet, charging, energy and battery management. The session will address some of the most immediate challenges of fleet electrification and it will offer inspiration for operators, authorities and other decision-makers planning the next stage of their zero-emission transition.
