Matteo Barale

Matteo Barale is Professor of Mobility systems and urban planning at IAAD, the leading italian mobility institute that aims to train students to become leaders in the field of mobility design. He leads Tecnocad AV — Tecnocad's division building Level 4 autonomous vehicles such as ADone, the first robotaxi sw developed in Italy. He participates in the European Commission's ECAVA working group defining standards for autonomous mobility in European cities. Previously, he served as Co-CEO and CPO of Pix Moving, a leading company in autonomous mobility, where he contributed to shaping the future of self-driving vehicles on an international scale.  Alongside his industry career, he has developed a strong academic track record, progressing from tutor to researcher at MIT, Politecnico di Torino, Tsinghua University, and Stanford, where he has lectured on the future of mobility and living environments.
